The City of Morden is issuing a warning regarding a merch scam circulating on social media platforms. Fraudulent individuals are using the Lake Minnewasta logo to deceive unsuspecting consumers.
The scam involves the promotion of counterfeit Lake Minnewasta merchandise through an unauthorized website. To protect our community members, we want to emphasize that the only authorized places to purchase Lake Minnewasta merchandise are the Pembina Hills Arts Council art gallery and the Lake Office. These locations have been entrusted to represent and sell legitimate Lake Minnewasta merchandise.
We urge everyone to exercise caution when purchasing online or through social media platforms. By purchasing from unauthorized sources, individuals run the risk of receiving low-quality, counterfeit items or no product at all, while supporting fraudulent activities.
